Membership Types

  • Service Member

    • The person is or was a member of the ADF with at least one day service
    • The person was a member, with at least 6 months service of the armed forces of
    o any member or former member of the Commonwealth
    o any country or place presently or formally a Crown Colony of the United Kingdom
    o the United States of America
    • Currently the standard Service Membership rate is $40/year

  • Affiliate Member

    • A relative of a person who is eligible for Service Membership of the RSL of Australia, or a person who, at the time of death, was eligible for such membership
    • A person who is, or has been, a member for at least 6 months of one of the following;
    o a State or Federal Police Force
    o an Ambulance Service or Brigade
    o a Fire Brigade or Fire Authority
    o a State Emergency Service
    o a Prison Officer
    o Australian Border Force
    o Cadets (adult)
    o Nursing
    • Applicants for affiliate membership must be 18 years of age or older
    • Currently the standard Affiliate Membership rate is $30/year

  • Social Membership

    • Any person who would like to participate in RSL Albany activities but does not fit the previous criteria is welcome to join as a Social Member.
    • As the name suggests, this membership allows you to connect with your local RSL on a social level
    • Currently the standard Social Membership rate is $20/year

Service Membership

The annual Service Membership fee is $40 and if you are a current serving ADF member who wishes to join, the first year of membership is free.

An annual renewal notice will be sent out by RSLWA in November preceding the following years membership.

If applying for a NEW membership, complete an “Application for Service Membership” available online or from the RSL at 14 Stirling Terrace.

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership fees are $30 annually.

Renewal notices are sent out in November of each year by the RSL Albany Sub-Branch.

New Affiliate Membership Applications may be applied for by attending the RSL Albany Sub-Branch location on Monday or Tuesday mornings or completing the Affiliate Membership Application form here . Completed Application forms can be emailed to albany.membership@sb.rslwa.org.au or delivered to the RSL Albany Sub-Branch address of 14 Stirling Terrace Albany WA.

Social Membership

Social Membership Fees are capped at $20.00 per year.

Members of the community who would like to receive Sub-Branch correspondence and join RSL Albany social functions, commemorations and other events without being eligible for Service or Affiliate memberships fit this category.
